Welcome to Wear Point Wind Farm
Wear Point Wind Farm has now reached the operational stage. Commissioning works have been completed and all four wind turbines are in full operation.
Infrastructure investor and asset manager John Laing has now acquired wind developer Infinergy's 20% share in Wear Point Wind Ltd, the company set up to manage the wind farm. This acquisition gives John Laing full ownership of the wind farm.
The project is located on disused industrial land at the SEMLogistics oil storage facility along the Milford Haven Waterway, just outside the village of Waterston.
Welsh contractors including Raymond Brown Cymru from Bridgend, Burke Contracts from Carmarthen and Austwel from Milford Haven have been involved in the construction process. Mabey Bridge in Chepstow have supplied the towers for the REpower MM82 wind turbines.
